With all these items you can create a basic glow stick person costume, or even try your hand at more complex designs such as a glow pirate, glow robot, glow princess, or nearly any other design you can imagine. Unlike other glow costumes, the USglow Laboratories glow costume is fully customizable and reusable with its patent pending safety pin glow stick connectors. Any USglow Laboratories brand glow bracelets can be used as refills for the costume, allowing you to use your costume again and again, creating a unique costume design each time. As an added benefit this costume will also help keep you or your child more visible and safer on Halloween night with the proven safety that glow products provide. Each costume kit also includes a pair of glow eye glasses connectors, a set of glow ball connectors, and 5 triple bracelet connectors. I'm the guy who always comes as some kind of glowing stick figure. Well, i used this kit as my first costume to start out. It is amazing! You get more than enough glowstick connectors with safety pin attachments (i'd guess about 50, whereas only 20-25 are needed to make the full costume). These can be re-used every time. I'd end up breaking 1 or 2 per week, but still that means a few months before you might have to buy more. I'm just under 6 feet tall, and 210 pounds, and the black suit fit me just fine.One thing to be careful about: The connectors are just a little bit thinner than the typical glowsticks you might buy in a store. You can only use these connectors with USGlow glowsticks, because they have thinner, rounded ends that fit these connectors. Then it comes with a LOT of small glow sticks. You put the clips it comes with every 8 inches or so (the length of each glow stick) along the entirety of the black one-piece. And basically you just put the glow sticks into the clips in the shape of a stick figure. Overall the setup of this costume took about 30 minutes. It looks terrible when you look at it at first, because the lights are on and you don't get the full effect. But when you turn the lights off, snap the glow sticks and activate them, the clips holding the glow sticks become invisible and the effect really shows! The custom connectors with the pins that hold the glow sticks are horrible. I wasn't able to insert the glow stick into nearly all that I tried using from the bag supplied. It's as if the connector is just slightly too small to accommodate the glow sticks. I had to use lots of force and finally gave up and used black Gorilla Tape to tape the glow sticks to the black costume. The regular connectors (without the pins) work just fine, and it was easy to put the glow sticks into them. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. |
